Controller — Jones Metal Products Company LLC
I currently serve as Controller at Jones Metal Products Company in West Lafayette, Ohio. In this role, I oversee the company’s accounting and finance functions, including financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cost and inventory accounting, payroll, cash management, and internal controls.
I work closely with executive leadership to translate financial data into meaningful insights about operational performance. Over time, I’ve implemented new processes, controls, and automation to improve the efficiency and reliability of the finance function, including ERP and business intelligence improvements, SQL-based reporting, and custom dashboards. I also coordinate the annual audit process and provide oversight for corporate and owner tax matters.

Co-Owner — HC1 Ventures LLC dba HC1 Tax
In December 2015, I co-founded HC1 Ventures LLC with my wife, Samantha Wottle. The company currently operates as HC1 Tax, providing tax preparation and accounting services to individuals and small businesses in and around Tuscarawas County, Ohio.
Through HC1 Tax, I prepare individual and partnership tax returns, provide bookkeeping and payroll support, and assist clients with tax planning, estimated payments, and understanding the financial impact of their business decisions. I enjoy working directly with clients and helping them navigate complex tax and accounting issues in a practical, straightforward way.

I hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Dayton and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Kent State University.
Outside of my professional work, I’ve been involved in the community through volunteer leadership roles with local nonprofit organizations, supporting financial reporting, budgeting, and board-level decision-making.
