Wayfinder Board game Companion

CAPACITOR – JS – HTML – CSS

My Open-Source board game companion built to assist the setup, playing, scoring, and other functionality for a variety of board games. Built with only regular vanilla javascript, Wayfinder can be used online, as a Progressive Web App (PWA), or Android app. In addition to the setup/playing functionality of analogue games, my goal is to also provide an alternative app for games that rely on an app for play. Most of these are not open source and many have been discontinued, blocking players from being able to play their game. By reverse engineering and/or coming up with alternative algorithms, no one will have to worry about that again.

Sam’s Simple Budget

Capacitor – Vite – JS – HTML – CSS

My wife, Samantha, wanted a simple budget app for tracking grocery costs. Frustrated with complex solutions, she needed something simple. Sam’s Simple Budget allows her to input a budget amount and track expenses related to it. No extra frills.

SFTP Downloader

Python

Originally developed to work exclusively with Paycom, this SFTP Downloader can be used in any scenario requiring file downloads from an SFTP connection, verification of the retrieved files, and subsequent relocation to a different directory. Built in Python, it can be easily run on Windows via Task Scheduler or other automation methods. The tool is lightweight, featuring built-in error checking and email notifications.

Kiji Android Game

Unity – C#

Built over the course of a week for my sons, Kiji is a simple Android game where the main character explores a forest, collecting missing gears and gathering seeds to plant. Designed with children in mind, the game uses clear, icon-based controls and avoids any timers or pressure to rush. Once all the gears are collected and returned to a crash-landed robot creature, the game concludes. Since I had never worked with Unity before, developing Kiji was a valuable learning experience.

New Bedford Board game Companion

IONIC – JS – HTML – CSS

This Android app was created to streamline the setup and gameplay of the board game New Bedford. Because of the game’s intricate setup rules, I often found it challenging to get everything setup quickly. By guiding you through the setup process and managing the ongoing gameplay, this app reduces the time spent dealing with minor details, letting you focus on enjoying the experience.
